Cylinder surfaces
In addition to surface measurements, the measurement of microgeometries is, on the one hand, a typical measurement task, but on the other hand, the requirements and tasks are very diverse, so that generalization is only possible to a limited extent. We would be happy to advise you on this. If in doubt, simply use the option of free test measurements. | contact person: Matthias Liedmann phone: +49 (0) 3677-83710-54 email: sales@gbs-ilmenau.de |
cylinder surface 1
Cylinder surface with a clearly pronounced groove structure, high oil transport volume, evenly pronounced rising and falling grooves and a surface defect (broken grain of the honing tool (?)).
cylinder surface 2
Cylinder surface with interrupted groove structure that is not as clearly defined as in Example 1 and thus restricts oil transport.
cylinder surface 3
Cylinder surface showing signs of wear. Vertical grooves cause a peak at 90° in the angular distribution. Correspondingly undesirable grooves increase oil consumption without being involved in reducing friction.
